Ash Conveyor at Coal Power Plant in South America.
Description of the problem:
- Frequent chain breakage
- Frequent scraper bar breakage
- Frequent chain stoppage
- High maintenance demand
RUD Solution:
- Measurements were taken by RUD Engineer
- The geometry and the casing allowed the retrofit with RUD round link chain system
- The existing casing were adjusted for the new RUD system
- Replacement of existing pin & bush chain into RUD round link chain system
- Installation of RUD round link chain 19x75 and SSRF-system
Result:
RUD focus was to reduce the maintenance activity on the chain with lower cost for the cusomer and trouble-free performance.
Retrofit of coal feeder conveyor
Application
Coal Feeder Conveyor at coal fired power plant in Australia.
Description of the problem:
- The corrosion of pin & bush chain links causes knuckling and frequent chain replacement
- The time and the labour for major outages has to be shortened
RUD Solution:
- Retrofit of existing coal feeder conveyor
- Replacement of pin & bush chain by RUD round link chain 14x50
- Installation of reversing shafts and grooved idlers
- Installation of drive shafts and pocket wheels
- Installation of RUD scraper bar MEE-T
Result:
- Short-term project time
- Excellent performance of new chain system
Retrofit of submerged scraper conveyor
Application
Submerged Scraper Conveyor in at coal fired power plant in Germany.
Description of the problem:
Heavy duty ash and slag leads to increase of conveying capacity and drive power.
RUD Solution:
- Retrofit of existing submerged scraper conveyor to increase conveying capacity
- Upgrade of round link chain 26x100 into 30x120 in existing casing
- Installaton of RUD submerged overhung idler (SOI 30)
Result:
- Short-term project time
- Excellent performance of new chain system
- No shutdowns due to overfilling of conveyor
